IS OUR LIFESTYLE PORTRAYING CHRISTLIKE?

Living a life that pleases God is very important, it’s high time we start portraying a lifestyle that pleases God in our way

Who was God pleased with, in the Bible?

What pleases God is a humble, truthful, dirt-free, and inspirational relationship with Him. Enoch pleased God because of his association with God, Enoch, became pleased with God so God decided to take him into eternity with Himself, what is thought-provoking about this statement is that god also mentioned this concerning His Son, Jesus Christ. Genesis 5:24 KJV extracted directly from the Bible “And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him” and in Matthew 3:17 Extracted directly from the Bible as well “And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased”.

Enoch is a man having strong faith in God and this truly pleased God. Testimony was also made in Hebrews 11:5 KJV Extracted directly “By faith, Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God”.

HOW TO LIVE A LIFE THAT PLEASES GOD

Live a Godly life. God created us a purpose and reason including serving Him in truth and spirit. So, therefore, our lifestyle should show or exhibit true sons and daughters of God especially in the world we are living right now.

Every man is priceless in the sight of the Lord. So, therefore, we must make sure we love our brethren, neighbors, and fellow humans just as God loves us. Let’s practice a life of humility and be at peace with all men.

Hebrews 12:15 KJV Extracted “Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled

God always wants us to live happily and successfully.

LET’S SEARCH OURSELVES AND SEE WHERE WE NEED TO MAKE IT RIGHT

Our character and how we approach people matters, let’s demonstrate courteousness in the way we talk, “put yourself in another person’s shoe to feel what he or she is feeling” No point blaming others for our mistakes or deed that has already been done, we should always seek for ways of making it right and be on the same page with everyone and always imbibe the spirit of tolerance, empathize and sympathize when there is a need for it.

READ THE WORD ALWAYS READ YOUR BIBLE

Always study your Bible, that is the only way we can find out the truth about the word of God, read for yourself and digest it as well; Bible is the most powerful book anyone can choose to read, full of wisdom, has codes and conducts on how we should live our life peacefully, one of the best way to hear from God. The Bible says in the book of 2Timothy 3:16-17; extracted directly from KJV,

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works

OBEDIENCE

Obedience to God’s commandment is very important, obedience is the very best way to show that you believe. This also includes obeying our parents and guardian, respecting those older old than us and everyone is very important, this talks good about our personality. God is not happy with disobedient people.

MIND YOUR BUSINESS: DESIST FROM BLASPHEMY

Instead of arguing on who is right or wrong, or judging others, let’s spend time learning how to control the doors of our mouth so we don’t sin. One of the greatest sins is blasphemy, God detests it; see the quote below,

And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemeth against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven.”

LET YOUR LIFE ADVERTISE THE GLORY OF GOD, LET IT BE MEDIUM OF EVANGELISM

Romans 12:1-2 King James Version (KJV) extracted: I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

CULTIVATE POSITIVE AND GOOD SPIRITUAL UPLIFTING AND BUILDING CULTURE

Share the word with friends, catch fun with it, discuss the BIBLE, deliberate on it, let everyone share their opinion. Cultivate good habits of reading Christian books, watching spiritual programs, and helping each other. Follow Christ’s teachings.

BE A PEACE SEEKER

Practice with everyone, Romans 12:18 (NKJV) If it is possible, live peaceably with all men. This can be a difficult task as when you are looking to be at peace some people may still try to push back, it’s okay, please be at peace, this you can do by cultivating the culture of forgiving, which I truly believe can be a difficult task when been hurt to the bone.

Hebrews 12:14 KJV Extracted “Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord

Matthew 12:31-32 KKV Extracted:  Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.”

ALWAYS SEEK FOR FORGIVENESS AND MERCY OF GOD

There is no number of times or limit on the number of times we can repent or go into sober reflection, in as much as it remains genuine repentance, not the kind of “I will do and go and ask for forgiveness attitude” God sees and knows our know individually, going to repent for a sin that would keep reoccurring and that you would go back to is acceptable in the sight God.

BE CONTENTED

Be thankful, be grateful for what you have, do not look at other people’s achievement, you don’t know how they manage to reach the height you may envying, all you need do is to stay focus and remain contended while thanking God for the peace you are enjoying. Hebrews 13:5

Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.”

Stay blessed and be prayerful. God bless.
