WORLD’S BEST AIRLINE

Singapore Airlines has been rated the world’s best airline for the fourth time in the annual World Airline Awards. They received this award from the result obtained carrying out survey, which involved over 100 countries and in languages such as English, French, Spanish, Russian, Japanese and Chinese languages. 20.36 million eligible entries were counted in the results thereafter. According to Skytrax World news of July 17, 2018 on its website, all survey entries were screened to identify the IP and user information where duplicate and suspect or ineligible entries were being deleted in the survey screening process. It also noted that 335 airlines were featured in the survey results.

In its post of June 29, 2018; Skytrax, stated that the World Airline Awards are independent and impartial noting that it started in 1999 to provide a customer satisfaction review study, it also carried out an online survey throughout the world on the 335 airlines from August 2017 to May 2018 which was approximately 9 months in total. This survey also involved nominations made by previous year survey respondents from its database of 24.45 million customers all in a bid to get an accurate and unbiased result which finally brought out Singapore Airlines as the best Airline, for the fourth time in the history of World Airline Awards.

 

The following nine overall award qualities are the reasons why Singapore stood out among its counterparts and therefore awarded the best airline so far:

  3. Best Airline in Asia
  4. Best First Class Seat
  5. Best First Class Lounge in Asia
  6. Best Business Class Lounge in Asia
  7. Best First Class in Asia
  8. Best Business Class in Asia
  9. Best Premium Economy Class in Asia

Singapore Airline CEO, Goh Choon Phong who accepted the Awards stated that the recognition received by the Airline, will motivate them to improve upon their product leadership, service excellence and network connectivity, as their main three pillars of brand promise to ensure they preserve competitive advantage and also continue to meet and exceed customers’ expectations.
